Since I'm a sucker for good looking strippers, Virtua Girl 2 always intrigued me, but I had no clue what I'd be getting for my money with this site. My biggest fear was that it had a few cute striptease animations and not much else. So when I entered the site, I started off feeling very skeptical.

Once inside, first thing I did was download and scan the free Vritua Girl 2 installation program with AVG anti-virus, then I ran the install. Next, I went inside the members area and fished out the registration code. So far so good...Finally, I clicked on the registration icon in the options menu, then typed in the code, and wala! -- I had Nikki Nova dancing grinding her gorgeous ass right above by taskbar.

So, what are these strippers on your desktop all about? If you haven't tried the free demo, the stripteases consists of popular softcore and hardcore pornstars and Hungarian honeys like Erica Campbell , Zuzana, and Crystal that show up above your Windows taskbar and do a hot strip routine right down to their birthday suits. There are 269 models featured in the site, although only 37 models are available when you first join. Every few days, more and more girls are unlocked. You can start by checking out the list of babes in the update page, which shows all the girls added recently, plus you get quick access to different outfits available for each girl.

Each model has 4 ~ 5 outfits and strip routines you can download, along with photosets corresponding to each outfit, as well as a few video clips. For a single outfit, there are several teaser animations and one strip tease which you can download individually or in one full download. The teasers have no sound, and the girl flashes some skin here and there but keeps things below an X rating. In the full stripteases, girls get completely naked and get pretty raunchy as they open up their legs to give you a full view of their pussies. Most of the stripteases features one girl, but a few Duo packages feature two girls stripping at the same time.

The photosets have no slideshows available, but there are ZIP files you can download, which is perfect if you prefer to browse photos using a pic browser offline. When browsing online, each photo opens in a new window, and since some of the photos are rather huge, it takes a few extra seconds to skim through the pictures. There's even a hardcore filter on some of the photosets. You'll have to press a button to remove the filter to get access to the hardcore sets, which show explicit closeups that leaves nothing to the imagination.

The videos on the site usually are similar to the stripteases. In some cases, they show you the exact footage used to create the desktop striptease animation. There are also behind the scenes/interviews, where the guys at Totem Cash asks models a few standard questions about how they got into the adult business and what kind of guys they like. Some older videos have both WMV and RM formats available, though the new videos are strictly WMV. Most of the videos have high, medium, and low bitrate options.

There are plenty of bonus content here to keep you busy. Finally, you get bonus access to VIP room, which is basically a site containing a collection of feeds. The 3rd party plugins are the usual suspects including pay2go. webmastercentral, webmastersparadise, pluginfeeds, and adultlegalporn. There are tons of stuff here to last you a while if you haven't seen these feeds before, but most of the feeds are also available on other paysites. Webmastersparadise has some crappy feeds that I've seen years ago, but pay2go and pluginfeeds do have quality stuff. Adultcontent.co.uk also has some nice looking feeds featuring videos from Viv Thomas. There are a few banners mixed in with the links to the feeds, including upsells to sites like AEBN and Lightspeed World.

The Good

The best thing about this site, believe it or not, is not the striptease program, but the photo galleries. The high rez photos truely rock. The photo resolution clocks in at 1842x1200, which is among the largest out there. Not only that, the photos are amazingly detailed, and measures up to some of the best photography sites out there. If you're looking for some huge pictures of your favorite babes like Sandy, Nella, or Valentina, this site has some jawdropping pictures you don't want to miss. Nipples and pussy never looked this good on my monitor -- let me just leave it at that.

Secondly, the site is huge and updates frequently. There are about 269 virtua girls, each with 5 outfits, photo sets, videos, behind the scenes. It's safe to say you're going to have a tough time trying to download it all on one day.

Thirdly, the stripteases are pretty entertaining. If you're one of those guys that love spending time in strip clubs, or if you like watching strip club scenes on Cinemax or HBO, then you're going to get a kick out of the stripteases available in this site.

Finally, the site has good customer support. They responded to my email in about 2 days after I contacted them about a 404 problem on their site, and it was fixed pronto.

The Bad

A major complaint is that the striptease animation could be alot bigger. I can set the zoom to 100% or reduce my screen resolution to 800x600, but zooming makes the animation look pixellated, and most people prefer to maintain a screen size of 1024 and above.

It's also hard to get the strippers I want to show up, since different girls show up randomly. I can turn off girls I don't want to see in options, but the option settings lack a save feature, so if I restart the program or reboot my machine, all the settings return to the default setting. One way to filter out stripteases I don't want to see without uninstalling them is to deselect all the girls, and just select a couple of girls I want to see. But in the end, all of that just seems like alot of work.

The selection of background music is also somewhat limited. As I said before, there are some extra tracks you can download, but after seeing 20+ stripteases, the music starts to get a little repetitive. Of course, you can just mute the sound and put your mp3 collection to good use.

Another annoyance is Virtua Girl 2 starts up when you fire up Windows, and there's no way to disable that feature in options. You can disable Virtua Girl 2 once the program runs, but the process will continue to run in the background. I had to go into msconfig.exe to disable the program, which is a small hassle I would have been happy to avoid.

Another major roadblock was that most of the girls are initially locked. You will have to stay subscribed to download strips for all your favorite girls. To be fair, you start out with plenty of girls, and you get a several new girls every week, so you'll have plenty of stripteases, videos, and pictures to download. You also don't get shut out of the site when you cancel your membership. You lose your VIP room access and you also lose access to the new updates, but you can keep downloading content for all the girls that became unlocked while you were a member.

The video quality is also mediocre. The recent WMV's run at a pitiful 10 FPS. The videos are VBR encoded, which is nice, but the average bitrate of 359.6 kb/s for a video with original resolution at 384x288 means blurry, muddy picture quality that looks pretty horrible full screen. One of Valentina's video clip ran at 24.8 FPS and that didn't look too bad, although the image was still a little fuzzy. Overall, the videos on Virtua Girl 2 are watchable, but far from impressive.

If softcore porn isn't enough stimulation for you, you're also going to be frustrated here. There's no boy-girl content at all, and there's not a load of lesbian material, except for the Duo stripteases and a few lesbian softcore photo shoots that doesn't involve explicit beaver licking or finger fucking. The photos do have some vivid extreme closeup shots that will titilate for sure, but if you're a die-hard hardcore fan, even that may not be enough.

Finally, there are enough upsells inside the site to count with two hands. There's an upsell of $20 to join stripsaver 2, an online DVD store selling DVDS at around 29.95 EU plus 5 EU for S&H (why not let me download the DVDs for free, since I paid for the site already?), plus banners to Pix & Video, Club Sandy, Strippers.com, and Mac & Bumble.

Final Judgement

Though things like low quality videos, lack of hardcore content, and limited access to the entire archive of content is annoying, the stunning photos on this site and the entertaining collection of stripteases make this site a must-see for fans of softcore porn and European babes. Although most of the videos aren't worth downloading, some of the interviews make for an interesting viewing (Nikki Nova talks about how she never sees herself as a "star", which struck me as surprisingly humble), and many of the photo galleries are good enough to burn on a DVD. In short, Virtua Girl 2 is not flawless, but it has enough perks to be worth visiting.
